Experienced Psychotherapist in Los Angeles Specializing in Evidence-Based Therapies
I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from UCLA’s Luskin School of Public Affairs and have extensive training in multiple therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Feminist Therapy, and Psychoanalytic approaches. My therapeutic approach is further enriched by the use of Motivational Interviewing, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and mindfulness techniques to foster meaningful and lasting change.
Before establishing my private practice, I worked as a medical social worker at the Los Angeles LGBT Center, where I provided clinical case management for individuals facing HIV-related health challenges and barriers to wellness. Additionally, I served as a forensic social worker and staff psychotherapist at Project 180 on Skid Row, helping formerly incarcerated individuals and those with severe and persistent mental health issues navigate the intersections of the legal and mental health systems.
My journey into psychotherapy follows a background as a professional theater actor in New York, a unique experience that deepened my understanding of human emotions and interpersonal dynamics.
Based in Los Angeles, my practice serves clients across Echo Park, Silver Lake, Los Feliz, Atwater Village, and nearby neighborhoods such as Eagle Rock, Glassell Park, Mt. Washington, Downtown LA, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Burbank, and Studio City. Whether you’re seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions, I offer a compassionate, evidence-based approach to help you achieve your goals.
