Modern life is challenging for a variety of reasons. I believe we’re all doing the best we can, but sometimes we don’t know why life isn’t going as well as we want. Whether you’re struggling with relationships, loneliness, career ambitions, or fulfillment, therapy provides a safe environment to better understand what’s troubling you. As a therapist, I want to understand your inner world, so we can collaborate on a plan for our time together. The therapeutic space is sacred to me because vulnerability requires trust and leads to healing. Sometimes, we need permission to feel. Other times, we need to uncover our authentic selves. No matter the personal challenge, I will provide you with curiosity, creativity, and acceptance.
I received my BA from Stanford University and my MA from Antioch University. I am married and the father of three boys. I was an elite athlete, owned a small business, started a non-profit, and worked in film for nearly 20 years.
Whether you are struggling with personal or professional relationships, navigating identity issues, life phase transitions, family conflict, work stress, or experiencing symptoms of depression and/or anxiety that often arise from these areas of difficulty, I am committed to providing you with an environment of warmth, acceptance, and non-judgment. One of our primary goals is a deeper understanding of you and your experience. We will collaborate to uncover the underlying narratives that shape your lived experience and we will work toward the changes you seek.
My belief is that through genuine human connection, we can often find solutions to some of life's most challenging and seemingly-unmovable barriers and, as a result, find clarity and build resilience for the future. I look forward to connecting with you.
My areas of focus include: Family & Children, Religion & Spirituality, Depression, Anxiety, Trauma and Addiction, Grief, Sexual and Gender Identity Issues and Formation
